you will also find that security really doesn't have any real control over situations and that we really cant do anything besides stand and watch something happen. they also state there is plenty of room to grow inside security with having outside patrol and dispatch to go into, but neither have any incentive to actually go from being a normal officer to a dispatcher or outside patrol trained. in the interview process and orientation you will be told that climbing the ladder is easy and happens often for people, but this is actually highly unlikely as promotions are few and far between. Putting this out there for anyone possibly interested in applying to the security department please be aware that you will be undervalued by upper management and Absurdly underpaid compared to other casinos security officers and dispatchers, they will throw a barrage of promises that mean nothing in the long run.
